This is an exciting week around here! My daughter is getting married to a wonderful young man this weekend, and although I know some mums have had horrible adventures around their kids getting married, that's not what is happening here. Jenn is organized, efficient, and she decided a long time ago that there would be no bridezilla moments (based on her adventures of having worked with one). I am responsible for keeping track of my granddaughter that day, who is now three and a half and will be the star of the show, and I need to prepare a speech. No sweat. I also get to hang out with my son, who lives far away and is - as I right this - on a plane. I can't wait to see him.
All this good stuff means that when I spill gravy down my elegant gown (it's an evening wedding so I am really going to DRESS UP), or I find a run in my hose, or I need to take my shoes off and put my flats on, it'll be okay.
